So im painting my car as i am clamped for a while cos i was being silly and drag racing. any way this is a test panel i quickly did today with the colour I want its called "Jaguar Gunmetal" and I just got a pressure pack from spectrum and also a quote for paint which im going to buy next pay. Heres a few pictures so you guys know whats going on wih the colour, bare with me this was all done with rattle cans so the clear is a bit orange peely but im going to 1500 then 2000 grit wet sand it and then polish it to see what kind of result I can get myself. Couldn't be bothered fixing the dents as it was a test panel and also so I knew how much they would stand out You can see the finish isnt great by looking at the reflection of my arm in the paint. This shows the finish at its truest. Now I just have to sand and sand and sand let the good times roll. =D

That Grey is very classy, better than the dull grey thats on it. Is that the guard off your supra? if so do the flares bolt on over the top of the original guards without cutting the old guard lip out.

Nah its just an RA60 front panel, I painted a full panel so i could see if I liked the colour and I very much do so its going to stay.
the flares bolt onto the ma61 fenders and the lip is flared outwards

pics or it didn't happen well here they are. The reason the front bumper and the tailgate are unpainted is that the front is getting a deep chin spoiler stuck to it and the tailgate will be replaced with a fibreglass one. HellaRuff lol

What paint did you use Acrylic or 2 pack, it looks like it needs a clear coat, or a good wet sand and polish. It looks like a satin finish at the moment. I love the colour it looks like gun metal grey in some photos. The fiber hatch will drop the weight a fair bit, it will put a hole in your wallet too, very pricey. Love to see this finished, it will be "illest" LOL.

well theres a group buy on atm for fibreglass hatches at about $400 but it means no more rust ever again, and there even making new rubbers but that could be too expensive. Yeah it needs a good clean and sand and polish it should be shinier as its acrylic with clear, ill get around to that next week sometime

Ok so I replaced the rear main seal and it doesn't seem to be leaking from the back any more but it is still leaking from the front but not enough to stop me driving. I think it is one of the sump gaskets but only time will tell. Here are some pictures I took of it to show what it looks like almost mostly painted hehe next up steelies and deep chin. Who wants to buy my MA61 rims?
