yer it didn't have a back seat just full roll cage so I covered it up and put two subs from another kit in, I probably wouldn't do it for really. I really like the bonnet vents, where did you get yours Evan?

If you get original ones, no, they use the mounting brackets and holes the short ones use. the only thing you need to do is drill the extra two holes in the right spot on the ridge.

just an update, I will be starting my new job on the 17th of feb as I got put off last week. im no longer an apprentice electrician, now a mechanical fitter at nyrestar so hopefully I will be earning a lot more. I bought some new wheels for the celica....
I was also having a lot of engine problems. the engine would start then stop and I couldn't get it to idle. so I took it off and my pop rebuilt it, he said he cleaned a lot of brown sludge out of the bowl and fixed a gasket that was covering half a jet but didn't find anything really wrong with it. but now I have a nice clean shiny carby. I put it back on but wouldn't even fire. I checked the volts throw the coil and found nothing, the kill switch I put in had cooked it, it started and runs beautiful, and I have notices a power increase due to the gasket fixed. buti drove it down the road yesterday and as I changed gear the throttle stuck and it was red lining. does anybody know what could have caused that.
by the way the wheels are just off my daily driver, I wanted to see what it looked like. its ok Evan you can breathe now.

You know me all to well, Those wheels look silly on older cars. I like small diameter, wide widths on Celicas. The sticking could be the throttle linkages, or the spring on the pedal might be sticking, or the spring on the carby as well. Check everything that works the throttle spray with some lubricate to free things up.

Gday Alex as much as it really pains me to think you want to put a rear spoiler on the old girl (I think they look shit and take away from the beautiful lines of the car) but if you must have one lol this guy should be able to help you its where i bought the front one www.ebay.com.au/usr/umbautobody

So i liked a page on Facebook, umb autobody. I told my dad they do ta22/ra28 fiber glass parts as a hint for my birthday on the 28th. He told me that he couldnt get one in time so he didn't bother with it. But he doesn't know that umb autobody posted a picture of a long box with my dads name and address on it. Lol busted

So i have been talking to a guy in Victoria, he use to do ke70 crossmember and rack conversion into a ta22. However he still has a crossmember sitting around that has been shortened and will bolt straight in. He has agreed to finish it off for a bit extra. All i have to do is send him a spare steering colume and he will finish it and all i will have to do is buy some steering arms off a sprinter and bolt in. The geometry will be perfect. It is all at a wicked price. Also i am going to look at a sr20det s14 on Monday. My mate has been in the car and he says the motor is perfect so fingers crossed.
