Progress. The engine is in the bay and everything is plumbed and bolted and what not except the fuel in line but ill handle that tomorrow. The flywheel and clutch assembly will be put on tomorrow also and if I have time ill swap over the bellhousings. The only thing im not so great with is the wiring but im sure once i get stuck into it ill be fine. this is the aircon crap I have taken out I never liked it being infront of the radiator and we live in tassie so ill just open a window if I get hot haha on that note ive taken the broken heater tap also haha so its full heat or no heat. some classic dodgyness although its steel its not permanent ill need to make something up to replace this but it works for now ( start up round the block drives ) Don't you hate this sort of thing? Got it in today im just hoping it it water tight after cleaning the threads Heres what it looks like as of today This is the majority of the wiring so not a lot.

nice progress mike, Justin said he could help you with the wiring if you get stuck.
we had our 61s at baskerville the other day doing laps and his died at the bottom of the hill lol. A plug inside the engine bay fuse box just fell out. so weird.

yeah similar, mine has more get up and go but his can maintain higher corner speed due to being low as fuck and running 15x10s Also semi slicks as apposed to my road tyres on 17x8.5
I was getting 170k down the back straight, his doesnt have a working speedo but it was close.

I dragged my mate in his 2009 xr6 and kept up. he just beat me but it was close only half a car length in it.
subsequently i think ive finished the conversion as my next post will demonstrate.

Nice, bet your mate hated that!
yours would have a 3.9 diff ratio, ideal for manual box I picked up a 3.9 for mine the other day to replace my 3.5 which is a bit tall.

nice skiddies Mike ;D, water works? weir performance have the diff kits. Or get a another diff from an Ma61/ra65/rt142 and weld it. You could swap them over in about an hour. next cruise should be good.
