Seems my to do list is getting bigger by the day.
I have what seems to be a slipping clutch in the 4agze celica. Wanting to replace the clutch but unsure what clutch i need to get.
Looking at the gearbocx, it looks very very similar if not the same as the aluminium case ta22 boxes but i didn't think they bolted up to the 4agze motors?
Does anybody know if there is a way i can identify the gearbox without dropping it out?
cheers

G'day Kolby,
The Alloy TA22 5 speed box is a split case box, which means the the outer casing of the gear box splits in half from the bellhousing to the selecter case. So if you can see that the gear box unbolt through the middle it is a TA22 box. This box can bolt up to the 4A GE engine, it just needs the right bell housing the bolt it up. My car ran with this setup until I could afford the supra box I have now.
