Hello There. I am a big fan of the flat taillights Celica and i have researched this vehicle over the years and now on a search to find one to buy. My dream is to find one in Tasmania and as I am meticulous with repairs, I would love the opportunity to find a 1972 GT Celica to restore. I am willing to pay good money for a GT and would welcome any knowledge or guidance from members here in obtaining this dream. I have money ready to go but have to find the car first. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated... So that's a little about what makes me tick

G'day 72GT you will be looking for a long time to get a genuine '72 GT TA22 in Tasmania. There is only one of them that I know of in the state
You will have to go to the mainland and even then they are rare, or non genuine. Your best bet is to buy a '72 LT and convert it to a GT. But GT parts are expensive and rare too. There are a few 70's models for sale on gum tree at the moment. have a look.
