So my 4 link control arms from T3 came yesterday, and today I have put them in the car. What a difference, The car feels so much more controlable, and planted on the road. The noise of the diff and the road are a little more than normal. Overall, very happy with them. The only thing now is to put better tyres on with stiffer side walls. My cheap ones that are on the car now are all over the place.

I am also doing a canopy/tent for a guy, which I think will fund the rest of my T3 suspension. I can wait.

I drove the car to work today, The diff noise is much louder now. but the car is awesome around corners now, no wiggling or changing of geometry mid corner, planted to the road. Best mod yet.

How much noisy is it? Really noticeable?

It is really noticable, but that is the price you pay for perfect handling. I just turn the stereo up more so i don't hear it.

that's what the rubber bushes do in the original arms, sound deaden. metal on metal transfers the noise very well, with little deadening of the sounds

So an update, I have just finished a big upholstery job so I have money to burn......... well some anyway. So I have just ordered a pair of T3 Weld on coilovers and AGX short stroke adjustable shockies. I have already got a spare set of struts cleaned up with the spring seats cut off ready to cut the 40mm out of the middle to match the short stroke shocks. This will mean I will be able to put my camber tops in the car too. I also ordered the needle bearing for the camber tops so they last longer and the car is easy to steer.

So I bought these goodies...... I cut down my spare struts to make the coilover.... Then fitted them into the car.... Then set it at maximum camber for this result. Then some new stickers....

I can get more camber than that but I can't afford new tyres.

more camber wont affect tyre wear, as long as the tow is right she'll be apples! although for a road car there's only so much camber you really need.

I drove the car to work the other day, The small amount of camber I have was a huge improvement to the understeering pig it was before. It used to feel like it was peeling the tyre off the rim when I pushed it to the limits around corners.

Oh hell yeah!, 1 to 2 deg is perfect for a street car, makes all the difference to mid corner grip
