Not that you were, but I hate boring intro threads! Just thought I'd say hi in here first, as that's why this is here after all! Local Hobartian that has owned half a dozen or so celicas over the last ~18 years, mainly RA28's, but a couple of 23's in there too (good for parts! ) My current car has been off the road for a few years, but work has finally started and it should make some serious progress in the next few weeks/months, (I'm on a budget of near nil!, and trying to do everything I can myself) should be good to chat with some other owners...

Hi Guys, and no Evan, they're not me, unless you meant 'crashed the front in on their RA28?' I think you know the car, it's just been a while since anyone's seen it! Blue RA28, etc... First time out of the garage in a long time, was a shame to push it back in...

You got it! Pick a prize from the 23 in my yard! About time I started spending the time and money to get this car sorted again, got myself a parts donor car, bodyworks are lined up next.. Almost got engine\box out and then it's under way, would love to tidy up the wiring in the bay at same time if budget allows, or I feel confident enough? unlikely though. Getting it all unplugged, vac lines etc off was enough of a challenge for me! pages of notes, dozens of pics taken already! Just hoping I can put it back together at this stage!

The best method I have found with wiring was putting masking tape on both sides of the plug and writing on it what the plug is or numbering them so the match up. It's about time you get this beast back on the road, it's been a very long time. Good luck mate.

It did, and it will again! Engine crane picked up today, things are progressing well. But Evan, you wrecked my fun!, I was hoping someone could guess from the pic I'd posted! but yes, it's running a 3t-gte. I've also got labelled masking tape, and dabs of colored paint on parts to re-join, along with my notes and pics, I should have it covered!

All good Evan!, only joking (they had their chance anyway) As for Spoilers, well, never found one I've liked! Today's pic shows success! first engine removal for longer than I can remember, but all went pretty well... So it's off for essential body repair next. Then either all back together, or further apart! depending on cash, time and license status!
