Not really, but that sounds strange, it's usually 6kg front and 4kg rear it's never the same. where are you getting your coilovers from? have you heard of T3 (techno toy tuning) technotoytuning.com/toyota/ta22this is a link to them.

thats from pb brakes and coilovers, all the reviews ive read about them have been really good also the dgr ones are 7kg front, 8kg rear so maybe they know what they're doing.. but yes i was hoping for 7kg front, 5kg rear, but cant find any =( i was thinking i could just try them out and if theyre too hard in the back i might be able find some new springs for them. yea t3 only sell the fronts that i can find, and i dont think you can go as low with them as the threaded section is fixed to the struts

You have to buy the AE86 rear spring to go with the fronts

ahhh i see =) still i believe the design of the pb ones to be better and camber tops and shipping is included in that price so thats always good shouldnt be too much to change the rear springs over down the track anyway i guess

technotoytuning.com/toyota/ae86Did you look in the AE86 products at T3 they have a rear coilover that replaces the shocky for the coil over and the spring is taken out all together. then you have the height adjustment same as the front. This is what I plan on using for my car.

Also T3 sell lowered spring for the AE86 and they are 6KG. So your idea of 7kg and 6kg front and rear might work.

just spent a few hours looking into the t3 stuff. fitting those ae86 coilovers to the ta22 requites a fair bit of work; the coilovers are too large in diameter for the rebates on the under side of the 22, so that will need to be changed and also reinforced as the shock mounts weren't designed for that kind of force. same deal on the diff side with reinforcing the mounts. and is there any real benefit to running angled coilovers as apposed to the vertical springs in their original seats?

Standard struts with pedders lowered heavy duty spring with one coil cut out, and pedders comfort gas shocks. front and back and nolatane bushes

I have worked all that out for the coilovers and I was also looking at BC adjustable spring seats that keep the original position but the seat has a tube with a thread on it and works like a coil over. A lot less work and works just fine.
