Sooooooo. the more I pull my RA 28 apart, the more the desire grows to restore it with the original 18R engine. on the other hand, I still want plenty of power and have a 1ggte engine. Decisions decisions.

This is how i think of it, let say you have restored the ra28 to original 18r. You come to the lights, a cocky vl commodore pulls up next to you thinking your a piece if cake. Lights turn green and you wish you had a 1ggte under the bonnet. But somewhere else there is the same car with a 1ggte making mince meat of all the commodores and falcon at powercruise. Hope that could help you decide

You can still go EFI with the 18R ITB (individual Throttle Bodys) with after market computer. Will still look and sound like the old carby set up but relieable. On the other hand read the latest Fast Fours, there is an RA23 with a 1GGTE for inspiration.
