Hi Everyone, Might as well get a thread going for this Celica I've been working on. It's been sitting outside for approximately 8 years in a paddock and we got it back and So far all I've done is started taking it apart and pulled the driveline and engine out. Body isn't good but it's repairable but there is a lot of time in it for sure. Anyway one good thing is pulled the engine out and set it up and checked everything, tidied it up a little and kicked it in the guts and sure enough it starts and runs so we can proceed with the rest of the car. Not too bad after sitting outside for 8+ years. Here's a pic of the engine set up, checking the top end: Here it is ready to run: It's an 18r-g, set of 45DCOE13 webers and has the electronic ignition distributor. So I suppose the next step is to pack the engine away and start getting serious about the bodywork.

Cheers, Might make a move on the bonnet soon and start removing the rust, %95 surface rust and a little bit of actual rust damage at the front join. Also will get a water pump for the engine and give it a proper run and warm it up.
We are planning just to treat/remove the rust and coat the metal sufficiently to protect it and give an appropriate surface for a full vinyl wrap rather than full respray. Hope this goes well. We are hoping this will be a time effective way and probably will cost no more than painting.
