Ok so i have been here for a while and thought it was about time i shared my car and got involved a bit more! Work has been killing me the last 2 years but i say it's time it took a back seat.
So for those that don't know me, Im Kolby, 25 years old.
Little experience with cars but have been around them all my life (Father has had more than 20-30 cars between 1920 and 1975 mainly 30's). Looking to learn a lot over the coming years especially now i have just bought a house with a shed!
All up i have 4ish Celica's (one cut in half!) and sold 2 in the last 12 months.
1. 1973 Ta22 Celica with Konig Shocks, flat tail lights, just sitting at the moment (possible 1uzfe conversion in the future)
2. 1976 Ra23 that was in a prang and is now cut in half (might do a cool seat out of the rear for out the front
of the new shed)
Now for the 2 that matter.
My main toy is a 1972 Ta22 Celica. It is the early model with the flat taillights and the petrol filler behind the number plate. This Celica has a Supercharged 4agze in it and i bought it when it had a few issues. I have recently fixed it up after it got broken into and the thief went rampant inside with the electrics!
Just fitted the longchamps today
Here's some pics of her now.
Still plenty to do.
Drivers seat needs to be re trimmed, new carpet, lots of little fixes (dash accessories etc.) just to name a few.
Would love to eventually put a hilux diff and a stronger gearbox behind the ZE, also a better ecu but money is obviously everyone's issue.
The Last Celica is my general daily. It is a late 72 model with filler in the side, standard 2t motor with a webber carbi and extractors. Unfortunately has been off the road since Christmas. My father and I painted it when i was 18, 7 years ago.
Here's some pics from then...
And this was the end product
Since then... 4 years of university in Launceston travelling from Hobart to uni and back regularly and using as a daily she has definitely seen better days.
Now she is back in the shed getting a new paint job. Will be the same Blue as the first time and will be used as a daily. Here is the progress so far.
So thats basically it... Until one day i finally track down an Ra28!
