Hey Guys, I am seeking a bit of advice. Wanting to put some wheels on my ta22 but ive always had 13's on them in the past.
Looking into 15x7 for the front and 15x8 for the rear with 0 offset but unsure whether they will fit under the guards.
Any advice or experience would be great.
cheers

Gday Kolby mine runs 15x8's front and rear i think they are +22 offset and they scrub on the floor pans at full lock and they also just touch the very bottom of the front guards at full lock

Nice Stoney, So 7" on the front could be a goer. Suppose it all comes down to the offset hey. Ive been playing around with the following site www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp (Click the size comparer tool located on the left hand menu; very handy). Really wanting to get it right so i don't spend a big pile of money on rims that don't fit. Have you still got plenty of clearance on the rears?

G'day Kolby, I have 14x7 all round mine with 0 offset, and running 185/60/R14 Tyre's on the front and 195/60/R14 on the back. I did have 195/60/R14 on the front too. I had to cut some out of the lower front guard. I have been working out some offset for my car. Here is my drawings. Hopefully you can understand this let me know if you can't and I will try and explain it.

So the diagram shows that 15x8 -0 offset will leave you with about 10mm to the outer edge of the front guard, and about 25mm to the rear outer guard.
To get a nice flush stance 15x8 -6 on the front and 15x8.5 -13 on the rears. But with these rims you will have to run with under sized (stretched) tyre, so they don't rub on the lip of the guards. I haven't had these sizes fitted to a car to prove this but the measurement are correct.
Cheers Evan.

Thanks Evan, great drawings haha Its looking more and more like 15 x 8 0ffset on the rear and 15 x 7 0 offset on the front should work. If i went 7's on the front and 8's on the rear is it very noticeable that the fronts are narrower? cheers

Well turns out it is hard work to get accurate information from wheel shops..
I have work wheels telling me that 15x 8 with -3 offset will fit without a worry on a stock Ta22.
Then i have the local wheel dealers saying the best i will get is a 15 x 8 +15 offset.
Both claiming to have put the wheels on stock Ta22's previously...
Bit stuck and just wanting to order wheels. Also no wheel shop seem to have a demo model of 15x 8 114.3 any offset to try on.
bummer...

Have a look at stoney car they are 15x8 +22 and they sit a long way in the guards
Work Wheels are correct 15x8 -3 offset will sit nice and close to the front guard and will sit a bit further back at the rear. will be very nice stance with these wheels.
If you look at my diagram at the 14x8 -6 offset line it will be about 5mm further in than this. Because the rear guard have more room there will be 20mm difference, to where the wheel sits in the guard. If you want the same distance between the guard and rim you will have to add -7 to make them the same. So in your case with the work wheels you will run 15x8 -3 and 15x8 -10
I would forget the 15x8 +15 they will sit to far under the guard. unless this is the look you are after.
Cheers Evan.

Cheers Evan sounding good. I have put the old 15 x 7" (i think) back on to see clearance and there doesn't seem to be alot at the front but the front looks to sit lower than stock. This can always be changed tho... Thanks for the offer Stoney, i might take you up on that at some stage. Just started back at work and i haven't got time to scratch my .... back. Madness
