do you know of anybody putting a 1ggte or 1ggze in a ta22 celica, I believe they are 6 cyl. how rare are they. sorry for asking so many questions, I just want the perfect engine without modifying the whole car too much and without costing to much.

Yes 3T GTEU Thats it. Because its a "T series" engine it will bolt straight in without cutting the body. you can fit 2L four engines without cutting the body. that guy doesn't know what he's talking about. As far as 1G's they are sixes, to fit them into TA22's they will need cutting of the firewall to fit properly. RA Celicas have a longer engine bay and swallow sixes without any fuss. I would stick with the turbo 4's, 200kw in a TA22 will be plenty to decimate most on the road. Any of the Toyota turbo 4's can pump out this figure and be reliable. 4AGTE, BEAMS with turbo, 3s gte, 3t gteu, and there is one that is starting to become popular, the aurion quad cam V6, it is 200kw standard non turbo and goes like a rocket my mum has one and it would be a great conversion.
